Fall Intern 2023 - Remote
Naomi Fox

Naomi (she/her) is currently a senior in the dual degree program at Barnard College and the Jewish Theological Seminary studying architecture with a focus on human-centered design and Talmud respectively. She has a passion for mission-driven inclusive design work and strives to create more empathetic communities. On campus, Naomi serves as a teaching assistant for a human-centered design and innovation course, where she enjoys guiding students through design thinking methodologies. She also brings with her two years of experience as director of education and president of Columbia’s chapter of Design for America. DFA was one of the first places Naomi was able to bridge her love for social impact work with design and she is excited to bring that experience to her work at IHCD.

As an architecture student based out of NYC Naomi has a particular interest in urban design and is eager to explore the question of how the cities we live in can be more accessible and desirable places to live. Naomi has spent the past summer working as an instructional design intern where she had a particular focus on making digital training accessible to those with different auditory and visual capabilities. As a result, she is also excited to explore the intersection of design, accessibility, and the digital world. When not at IHCD you can find Naomi involved with Jewish life at her school, taking on a new fiber-art or hosting potlucks for her friends.
