BE PREPARED!!!
- Please come prepared for the possibility heat or rain. You should have sunscreen, a hat and dress appropriately for the weather. Bring a rain jacket or an umbrella if it might rain. The show will go on rain or shine. But in the event of a severe or unusually extreme weather forecast, you can check to see if the celebration is still on by calling 1-800-949-4232, or going online at www.newenglandada.org Only extreme and unusual weather will cancel the event.
- We are not providing lunch. Bring your own food and drink. We will provide water, but there is no guarantee that it won’t run out. There may be some food and drinks for sale on the common, but your choices will be limited. Boston Common is surrounded by additional food options, including the food court in the Transportation Building at 10 Park Plaza, Boloco on Boylston Street and McDonald’s and Sal’s Pizza on Tremont Street. You can also go to these places for air conditioning if needed. The MBTA will also be providing an air conditioned bus for temporary relief from the heat.
- Bring any medications you might need.
- Parking is available in the Boston Common underground garage on Charles St. South for a fee. The garage can accommodate vehicles up to 6 feet 3 inches tall. Larger vehicles must find off-site parking.
- If you require interpreters, please sit in the area to the right, facing the stage.
- Communication Access Real Time Translation (CART) will be available.
- There will be accessible port-a-potties.
