Ted Kennedy Celebrated With Us

Author: Oce Harrison
Date: Aug 28, 2009

Kennedy did much to champion the civil rights of people with disabilities. At the 10 year anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) July 26, 2000, Ted Kennedy helicoptered into Boston to celebrate with us at the JFK Library. We know he will be there in spirit at the 20 year Anniversary of the ADA July 26, 2010. As the baby boomers age, the number of people with disabilities will grow. We will miss Kennedy's presence as a fighter for disability rights.
