New Publications from ICI

The Institute for Community Inclusion is pleased to announce three new publications:

Institute Brief - WIA and One-Stop Centers: Opportunities and Issues for the Disability Community
(20 pp, Dec. 2000, Vol. 10 No. 1, Order #IB13)
Provides a basic overview of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), and examines impact of this law on the lives of people with disabilities, as well as the systems and organizations that assist them.

Quality Employment Services: Will You Know It When You See It?
(10 pp, updated Jan. 2001, Order #IB11)
Provides guidelines and a process for people with disabilities to evaluate service options in order to receive services that best meet individual needs.

Tools for Inclusion - Stories of Success: Using Networking and Mentoring Relationships in Career Planning for Students with Disabilities and Their Families
(8 pp, February 2001, Vol. 9, No. 2, Order #TO12)
Includes examples of how students and families have successfully used networking and mentoring relationships to learn about jobs and find employment.

All of these publications can be downloaded at no charge via the ICI web site: www.childrenshospital.org/ici/publications. Organizations are welcome to download these publications and make multiple copies for their use.
