
Chris is a 25-year executive, strategist and trusted advisor in the healthcare and healthcare IT industries. He has a demonstrated track record of bringing technology-enabled innovation to market, creating long-term value for healthcare payers and providers, governments, Fortune 1000 health and technology companies and private equity investors and their portfolios.
As advisor and cofounder of multiple early stage health IT ventures, he helped place over $250 million in venture equity. In health IT, Chris is a specialist in applied analytics and enterprise technology platforms. In healthcare, he is a specialist in Medicaid and services for persons with disabilities, contributing to legislative innovation, establishing new health plan models in Medicaid and Medicare, and helping states build delivery platforms for complex populations, ACA and payment reform.
Chris is CEO of Qcentive, maker and seller of cloud solutions that make it radically easier for healthcare organizations to create, manage, and settle value-based payment relationships—an early stage company incubated and launched by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Prior to Qcentive, Chris was a cofounder of Caremetrics and HES Advisors, and a former executive at Magellan Health Services, where he helped launch a new nationwide division focused on the privatization of government health populations.
Prior to his career in healthcare, worked in design, public finance, and development, serving as a consultant to and senior official within government, and as an industry analyst at Harvard-MIT Joint Center for Urban Studies. His work and collaborations in urban design and behavioral research are recognized by multiple awards and citations from Progressive Architecture magazine.
Chris holds master’s degrees from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/SA+P and earned his bachelor’s from Yale College.
