Keyu Zhu (she/her/hers) is a current student at the Rhode Island School of Design's Furniture Design department, where she has concentrations in Nature-Culture-Sustainability Studies, History, Philosophy, and the Social Sciences, and Computation, Technology, & Culture. As a passionate and creative designer, Keyu is interested in using design to improve people's lives and create meaningful experiences, primarily through the use of wood and metal as materials. Keyu believes that design has the power to encourage people to think and imagine the relationship between humans and design and to create a welcoming environment for everyone through the designer's eyes.
Keyu is excited to learn more about how furniture can connect humans and their surrounding space as an intern at the Institute for Human Centered Design. She is eager to expand her knowledge about human-centered design and is open to all new learning opportunities. With her passion and dedication, Keyu is committed to doing research on innovative and impactful designs that improve people's lives and make a positive contribution to society.
