The purpose of this pilot study which examined the work of some 30 able - bodied housewives and 30 housewives with different disabilities, was 2 fold:
1. To examine and compare their movements and daily pattern of work in their own kitchens
2. Investigate the problems and needs of disabled housewives in relation to their particular kitchen environments
